Nescafé

From Bean to Cup

A Cinematic VR Journey Through Coffee's Origin Story

Most people encounter coffee at the moment it reaches their cup. Everything before that — the mountains, the harvest, the hands that pick each cherry — stays invisible. Nescafé wanted to change that. They came to us with a simple brief: build an experience that creates a genuine, felt connection between the brand and its consumer. We built a cinematic VR film that takes viewers from the slopes of a coffee-growing region all the way to the moment of that first sip.

Storytelling as Brand Strategy The insight behind this experience was that trust is built through transparency. Consumers who understand where a product comes from don't just buy it — they believe in it. So rather than making a traditional brand film, we structured the experience as a journey: a first-person passage through the full arc of coffee production, narrated not by voiceover alone but by the world around you. Each environment was designed to feel intimate rather than documentary. Close-up textures of soil and leaf. The weight of a full harvest basket. The warmth and hum of a roasting facility. In VR, proximity creates emotion — and we used that deliberately at every stage of the experience.

Built for the Right Rooms

A great VR experience is only as effective as the moment and setting in which it's encountered. We worked closely with Nescafé to define a deployment strategy that placed the experience in high-intent environments: branded experience centres, trade fairs, and B2B exhibitions where the audience is already engaged with the category. The result is an experience that doesn't just play — it lingers. Viewers who walk through Nescafé's origin story are far more likely to carry that story forward than those who see a static display or a thirty-second ad.
